The Savage from what I understand is a good gun. It is a slug gun. Not a rifle. It's not going to shoot MOA. Neither are most pump guns.

I would buy what feels the most comportable that you can afford. I didn't think it was possible, but last week I saw some 1.5" groups at 50 yards with a 20 gauge mossberg.

Just never know.

Yea it is. I won't say it will never happen but it isn't the norm. For the most part we are at the mercy of the ammo we use. Sure then gun might be capable, but the ammo normally isn't. Sometimes you get lucky, and find a load that shoots really really good. Maybe even MOA.

Most center fire rifle are lucky to truely shoot that good. I hear a lot of claims that their whatever gun shoots that good, but after spending a lot of time at different ranges I haven't seen many groups that good. Most of those were carefully loaded handloads. We can't do that with slugs.
