hey guys, this is going to be a really dumb question but I couldn't fine anything in the regulations book. So the stream in front of my house is a approved trout water and the season runs between april 13th and september 2nd so if I want to fish it say in october could I fish it if I do catch a release only?

Unless it is special regs waters, it is reduced creel limit (three combined species) from labor day till end of february, but still open to fishing. Most approved trout waters remain closed thru the month of March to allow the PFBC to replenish trout stockings. Will reopen again when trout begins, so basically open except for March. Look up the stream in question in your book and make sure it isn't governed by any other special regs and you should be good to go.
