I'm interested in buying a new kayak for this spring and summer but I'm not sure on what type I should buy. Is a Sit in, or sit ontop kayak better for Fishing? And if anyone has a recommendation for one in the $300 range please help me out. Thanks, Hunter

I've used both, but the sit on top is much easier to fish from. There's more usable space and it's easy to step off and fish if you find a good spot. Keep an eye on Craigslist or Dick's Sports.

My first kayak was a perception swifty with a harmony deck. My current one is an old town dirigo 106. I am in the market to add a ocean kayak tetra angler to the fleet. I have a perception sound also that my wife won't give up.
