Feel free to move to another Forum, not exactly sure where to post this.

I have a camp in Bald Eagle State Forest, Treaster Valley Road to be exact and when we go to camp we usually just fish the local stream, I believe its called Treaster Run. Its a good steam to fish for natives but usually you are on your hands and knees crawling through the mountain laurel to find a decent hole, and by a decent hole I mean a 10' long x 6' wide hole. We fished Poe Paddy before but I'm looking for a stream nearby that is a lot bigger than what we are used to fish, a stream that is open and can accommodate long casts. A stream that a person can stand in with waiders and fish.
A lot of the 'old timers' at camp always tell us that they will take us 'younger bucks' with them when they go fishing, they know all of the good streams but everytime we plan a trip its usually bad weather.
Any input on streams would be appreciative.

If you fish Poe Paddy you are at Penns Creek.
The old railroad bridge is just below the Poe Paddy Camp Ground.

You could also join union county sportsmens club, get some info and buy some buttons for private land access. Make nice suppers for a reasonable price to boot

Honey Creek, Kish Creek are great streams to fish, they are both limestone streams, Honey runs into Kish aka Kishacoquillas Creek. Some big trout inhabit these streams as well. Honey Creek is also a Class A wild trout stream and doesn't get stocked anymore. Kish gets a few stockings til June. Kish Creek starts in Belleville, which is called the West Branch, and runs into the Juniata River in Lewistown. If you go to the town of Reedsville that's where Honey Creek dumps into Kish. There's great fishing right there in that area. If you head upstream from the mouth of Honey Creek that is the West branch of Kish Creek. Great fishing up through there as well.

Iffin ya need a tour sometime I would be glad to show ya around.
