Colton turned 12 yesterday so he got to go rabbit hunting for the first time today. We had several up with no shooting, but when heading down the neighbors fencerow his dog, Tank, jumped a rabbit. As it broke across the field he made the shot count.

A nice day to remember. Congrats! Tank is well-named by the way. Looks like he's a match for any brush pile. Hope you have many more great hunts together.

When my maternal cousin Dave turned 12, my dad and his family took my cousin Dave hunting rabbits with them to a place that no longer exists. They were walking along in a straight line and my grandfather saw a sleeper and motioned my cousin Dave to come over and shoot it.
Funny thing, my cousin Dave quit hunting about 16 years ago, and yet he always tells the story about the time my grandfather took him hunting rabbits and the sleeper he shot! That rabbit hunt had to have been about 40 years ago!

It's neat how you can remember some things while other things no matter how hard you try, you can't remember.

Congrad's Colton, 1'st bunny, but hopefully not your last!
