My brother Tagout won a Pheasant hunt this winter in a local buck contest, so yesterday he cashed in. Dad bought a few birds and I went along with the camera. Wasn't a great day. The young puppy had trouble with the wind and the birds flew off property pretty quickly after release. It was the first time we have hunted at a farm and it's not really our cup of tea, but obviously we had a great time together and I was happy with the pictures I got and since it was so poor, we were invited back again next year, which was very nice of the owner and we are looking forward to a better outing.

The first puppy, she was only 1.5 years old and this was her first time out for Pheasants. Very pretty and sweet dog, but she was just out for a walk which made it tough for us.

The second dog they brought down was great, he was on birds right away, but he pulled up lame after only 20 minutes.
