Very tragic. But did anyone hear even one newsperson question why this coward was let out of prison ?
He killed his 90 year old grandmother with a hammer back in 1980. His second degree murder charge was dropped for a plea to manslaughter.
Sorry but if you are sick enough to kill your grandmother with a hammer YOU should never be allowed out of jail..

Because he served his sentence for that crime?
I don't like it anymore than you do but when convicted of a crime in most cases there is an end date to that incarceration.

And also our prisons are so overcrowded with stupid minor crimes that there is little room for more and these ridiculous plea deals are made for serious crimes.

Just wait. Our governor is about to let a load of criminals back on the streets. It's already been penned and approved starting this upcoming year.

killing ones granny with a hammer should never be manslaughter unless the hammer fell off a ladder. THIS is what is wrong with our society. weak sentencing, plea bargains by DA's and whackos everywhere.

A guy who could kill his grandmother or anyone elses for that matter should be eliminated at the earliest opportunity.

DAs will tell you that they accept plea bargains to save taxpayers the price of a trial.
It's a crock!
They're proud to tell us of their high rate of convictions, but they would prefer that we dont know that they get that high rate by allowing those who committ major crimes to plead to lesser charges.
In the case of the previous crime this man committed when he hammered his grandmother to death, the defendant's lawyer, the DA that proposed the lesser charges, and the judge that accepted that lesser charge bear plenty of the responsibility for these latest deaths and they should all be put on trial themselves.
