I'm finishing my basement. Specifically what should I use to reduce the sound of the water running down the main sewage line? I have it all boxed in so I could do just about anything to it. Yes... I do have an access spot.
I appreciate your posts...

Egg crate foam packed loosely in the box, around the pipe should reduce the sound quite a bit I would think.....

Go to Ollie's and get a cheap egg crate style mattress pad.....

Or, you could get some soundproof drywall, or other material, and redo the boxing around the pipe.....

How long of a run is the pipe? There is a very good product we use but it is a bit expensive. It is a wrap that comes in widths up to 3" and a roll is 8 linear ft.
I works well on PVC as well as copper or cast.
It is sold under the name <span style="font-weight: bold">Quiet Wrap</span>.
Good Luck
