I am getting close to that point on my second bow and wondering how to finish it up also. Are you putting any type of backing on it?

From what I've read Pine will work fine but it needs a backing. The bow I'm working on now is red oak and I am going to back it with silk.

My first hickory bow that I am going to try to recover I am going to use deer back & leg sinew.
