Been trying to get a trapline going for a couple years now and Ive always been unprepared or too late to start, so this year I'm finally on the ball!

After a few days with just a couple DP traps out I kept losing my bait (marshmellows) to mice. Still havent remedied this issue yet cos they got 2 of 3 last nite again!

Found a spot along the creek where something had been digging around, DP, marsmellow under the trigger and some fish oil to lure him in and finally walked up on this!

just a little guy, 10lbs at most but its a start!

Thanks for the encouragement! I've been a lazy slouch all summer with not getting up in the morning. Kinda nice to be excited and get up early for a walk in the cool mornings. Having caught a critter is the icing on the cake. Slightly concerned with the deer season opener because I know hunters will be in the immediate area daily. Think I might pull out and try another spot for a bit this weekend.
