congrats you never forget the first. i started hunting with the flinter about 10 years ago and has to be one of my favorite times of the year.

WPAtrapper, great job on the doe! Just got my first one last week on my first hunt ever with a flinter! I can honestly say I am totally hooked. I can't imagine taking anything else out in the woods but the ML for the rest of the season (5C -ML buck and antlerless until Jan 23rd).

I quoted your last comment because this site has been invaluable to me as well. The info on here most definitely helped me score my first flintlock deer!

Great job! I took my first flintlock deer a few years back, and I have been hooked ever since. What caliber are you shootin' I'm guessing a .50 cal.
