I'd planned on starting this last week but it didn't work out. Anyway I got one of my plots tilled tonight and I'm hoping to have it seeded by the weekend. I hit it with roundup a few weeks ago and I'm planning on hitting it with some lime and fertilizer and tilling again. I'll be putting Evolved Habitat's Shot Plot in this one and I may mix in some oats. Not sure yet.

If you notice the branch coming off the tree to the right. I left that one. It has mock scrape written all over it.

This will be the second part of the plot but it won't be ready till the end of August at the earliest. I'm sure the deer will help themselves to some sweet corn anyway. lol I'll probably be putting oats and winter wheat in this part seeing as how it'll be going in kind of late. Might do it half and half and see what gets hit the most.

Thanks. It's not much but it's something to play around with. I got it limed, fertilized, and planted tonight. Used the ATV as a cultipacker. Ended up mixing some oats in with it. Now all I need is some rain.

Wish I could send some of our rain out to you!
Nice plots! Have you considered throwing some brassicas, or oats or rye seed right in with that corn and then letting the corn stalks stand?
