I have some filson garments including the cruiser and they are good quality, don't forsee that I'm going to ever be able to wear them out. There are differences in wool quality and weight, most good wool costs good money. You've heard it before you get what you pay for, but you can keep it reasonable. I chose filson, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy from some of the others mentioned either. Just to confuse you more, look at some of the stuff from LL Bean. Not sure where its made but also seems to be good quality and they'll stand behind it like the others also.

No doubt about it if you have the $, king of the mountain and sleeping indian (I think its called) are widely considered the best there is. Saw king of the mountain gear at Harrisburg show.
