Hi, I planted two plots with turnips & rye a couple wks ago and both came up. I didn't get a chance to put any fertilizer down then and I was wondering if it's safe to use some 46-0-0 now or if that will burn them? Thanks
I would go with a general purpose like 10-10-10. Would be safer and all around better for the plants. All nitrogen will give them a shot of growth and then done.Did you lime? More important than anything else in Pa. That thing called acid rain.
My plots are 200 miles away. Even without a chance of rain, if I'm there, I put the fertilizer on. Altho, it seems that if I put enough on at planting, little need for more.
