I have a Remington 700 in 270. I mounted a Bushnell Banner 4 - 12. I cannot move the scope any closer to the butt of the gun to get a good sight picture in the scope. Are there other rings I should try or do I just need to get used to this set-up? I find myself moving my head toward the scope which creates an uncomfortable shooting position. They do make an extended front ring that would allow the scope to move further to the rear. Probably have to buy both the front and the rear rings though. I have learned with Rem. 700s to always buy reversible front and rear bases as that is another way to gain scope adjustment range.

Do you know who makes that extended ring set? Thanks.
