<span style="color: #000000">Here are some events that are popular with some. I think I will be attending at least the one at Pricketts Fort and Fort Frederick and maybe Martins Station. I will try to update as I find more.

MARCH

Fort Loudoun
Garrison Weekend
March 13-14
Vonore, TN.

APRIL

Prickett's Fort
School of the Longhunter and Contemporary Longrifle Association Show
An intense weekend of instruction exploring the role of early frontiersmen on the American frontier. Speakers will focus on the frontier skills of the long hunter. Visitors welcome during day time hours with no admission charge. In addition to the educational programming, this year there will be sanctioned CLA mini-show and sale.
April 8-11 2010

Fort Loudoun
Garrison Weekend
April 10-11
Vonore, TN.

Fort Frederick Historical Market Fair April 24-27

BIG POOL, MD – The Maryland Park Service and Friends of Fort Frederick State Park will host the 18th-Century Market Fair at Fort Frederick State Park beginning Thursday, April 24 and running through Sunday, April 27 to highlight historic life at the fort between 1730 and 1790.

MAY

The Raid at Martin's Station
May 7th - 9th 2010
Ewing, VA
10th Anniversary Event!
The raid on Martin's Station reenactment can be better described as an "on-going living history demonstration" rather than a "reenactment" by its usual definition. While the event is hosted, and coordinated by the Wilderness Road State Park, it is sponsored by the parks friends group, the activities associated with the raid and trade fair are the combined efforts of the local civic, community, and school groups, 18th century suttlers and merchants, and various military and native reenactment groups.

I see in the latest issue of "Muzzleloader" magazine that the Historical Society of Berks County has extended the exhibit of "Berks County Longrifles & Gunmakers: 1750-1900" to February 27th., 2010. The Historical Society is located at 940 Centre Avenue in Reading.

The exhibit includes 54 rifles and two pistols, accoutrements, and gun making tools.

I haven't been, but plan to get there before 2/27!

Berkco, I've been trrying to schedule a trip over there. My great great etc, was Jacob Angstadt. It would be very nice to see one of his rifles. (Even better if I could just touch it even for a second) I did look at the book about the exhibit when I was up at Dixon's last week. They apparently don't have a gun by Hans George Angstadt, the patriarch of the Angstadt family.

I would love to go to Ft Fredrick. I started a new job at the start of the year, currently part time, but will be going full time in the next 1-2months. The issue is the job is in St College and will involve a move.

You could have Brad take it to Ft Frederick MD and pick it up there like you suggested since he attends this event.
