My buddy separated his penned birds today and the subsequent tension in the flock really shook up the pecking order. By late evening they had ironed out most of their differences but for an hour or two it was intense. I "watched" a couple wild Toms go at it one day. They were just over a little hump from me. I could see them when they straightened out or jumped up. Maybe they were 50 yards away. It was kind of funny. When it was over, they walked away almost "arm in arm". My guess is, they had to settle things later on in the day.
