Finally after a few years both my boys start school next month.
And i was looking for a place that has some room i can learn to toss the fly rod better..maybe even get a bite or two.
has to be with in about 30 mins from Pgh, im in the south hills area if it helps at all.

Learn the fundamentals of casting in your back yard or nearby park..then go to a stream or river.. There are no streams (within 30 mins) of Pgh. that hold trout this time of year (to low and warm)..

PS ..Do not "toss your flyrod"..you wanna cast the rod & "toss" the fly

If you are in the south hills, you can reach many portions of the lower Yough River in 3o minutes. There are many different species of fish to be caught there, but more importantly, it's expansive, which allows you to "practice" unabated, and that seems to be your primary goal ?
