Do earliners have to be put in when mounting a coon or can the natural ears be used if they do have to be put in how do you put them in?

You can use the natural ear, but you have to use bondo with tiger hair. To use the earliner you have to take the ear cartlidge out first.

On small animals with small ears a Sculting epoxy like SculpAll or All Game can be used with great results. It gives you two or three hours working time and the edges can be feathered nicely.

X2 on the sculpting epoxy. I've aso used latex caulk with good results. The caulk gives you a day or two working time. Let it in the ear long enough to stiffen up from the outside then just squeeze the excess down to form the earbutt.
