we were on our way home this evening, coming up rt 19 at the Geneva swamp. my wife and I were watching a pair if immature bald eagles flying over the swamp. as they were gliding around hunting I assume, a blue heron came over the tree tops and out into the open and BAM! one of the pair snatched it by the head and neck! I got pulled over as quick as I could, but they were behind the trees and we couldn't see them anymore. sure would have liked to seen the out come of that battle!

Very nice story, thanks for sharing...We have a camp just off the Geneve-Cochranton exit along French Creek, we see those Eagles flying down the creek just about every morning, I`ve seen them grab a fish out of the creek and fly to a tree and eat them, What a sight...
