The Department of Agriculture is now accepting applications for chronic wasting disease research grants. The deadline for applications is November 30. (formal notice)
No less than $1 million will be available for these grants. All applications must be submitted using DCED’s Electronic Single Application website.
For all the details, including research topics, read the entire November 2 PA Bulletin notice. Questions should be directed to Sheila Strubhar, Chief of the Contracts and Procurement Division for the Department, by calling 717-787-1467.
Visit the Department of Agriculture’s Chronic Wasting Disease webpage and the Game Commission’s Chronic Wasting Disease webpage for information on this deadly disease to deer and elk.

one would think they would have done this a little sooner

Yeah you would think so. But here we are with CWD spreading and deer farms still moving deer all over the commonwealth. Now they have 1,000,000 in tax payer money to study a decease while the root cause of it spreading rolls right along.

From what I read a lot of States fell behind the 8 ball. Sorta like the Catholic diocese trying to keep things quite, Hoping it will go away and not effect the billions of dollars each year from hunters. Now it is affecting them and us.
