I've made a ton of jerky this year but it was always warmer out and I had my setup in the garage. My question is with it being cold and the garage not as warm as the house will the dehydrator out there still hold a temp and get my jerky done in the same time?

Mine would never work in the cold. The trays above the heating unit might work ok but I would expect you would have to rotate the trays very frequently. You may want to try to insulate it without risking the food or a fire. I always did mine in the house where I could keep an eye on it and
sample as often as possible.
