RIP Dallas. Some unique info on him.

He was at the WS when Don Larson pitched his perfect game. (How many BB fans who were there are still around?)

He was the pitcher when Jimmy Piersall hit his 100th HR and ran around the bases backward.

He played for the Phils when they had their infamous collapse in 1964.

Sadly, his granddaughter was shot and killed by the gunman who shot Congresswoman Gabby Giffords.

He was the Phils manager when they won the WS in 1980.

And, like RonM, he was a native Delawarean.
