Well guys it took me longer but here it is.

CVA Hunterbolt .50cal This rifle was given to me by another gentleman who didnt like it and moved on to another rifle. I always have great luck with CVA so i gladly accepted it and went to work on it as soon as i scrubbed it clean the day i got it.

When i got it, it had horrible plastic sights on it. I had a spare set of the Durasight metal sights and slapped them on, sighted it dead on @ 50 yards and then scoped it, sighted it 1 1/2" high @ 50 yards and took it out to 100 yards later in the day.

90gr Blackhorn209 * Yes it has a modded breech plug now* 295gr Aerotip Powerbelts, CCI 209M primers.
Shots 1 and 2 were adjustments, i fired 3 and 4 for group and,

Continued to fire 4 more shots,

Switching to the 245gr Aerotip Powerbelts with 90gr BH209, CCI Standard 209 primers. 5 Shot group @ 100 yards.

And yesterday i went out again after a hail/rain storm and the temp had really dropped! 90gr bh209, 245gr Powerbelt Aerotip, standard CCI primers. Love the cold for accurate shooting! Dont have to worry about barrel heat up at all.

3 shots, 100 yards.

If you think about grabbing the rifle and running off, you obviously were blind to the guard watching over the rifle

I recently got my .50 cal. Hunterbolt magnum back from the police and am happy to say that with a little work over the weekend, I was able to group three shots an inch high at 50 yards. 100 grains of 777 and Aerotips 245 gr.

Ok i tested it out at 100 yards. Accuracy was amazing. Blow back seems to be more but i know how to fix it.

The spacer sits in the cup i made but due to the drill bit i used, it left a cup rather than a flat surface for the primer to sit up against. Thats the problem! I'll make a new shim once i get some material to work with.

The O ring you see between the Spacer and breech plug is just a weather ring. Keep water and stuff out and away from the primer. I need to find one slightly smaller and then inlet and area in the spacer for it to sit in.

And on the new spacer this is the area i will have to cut FLAT. Thats whats causing the blow back.

Excellent accuracy though! 90* and no cool down time.

crap guys! i forgot to post what all i did to the rifle before my last post!

I replaced the stock slotted breech plug with the breech plug out of my CVA Accura. The Accura plug had been modded with an o ring ( yes i had to drill the primer seat deeper) then i just installed it into the Hunterbolt and tightened it up. I had a small gap between the bolt and primer and allowed the primer to move back and forth so as you can see in the post above, i made a shim for it today and a primer pocket so i no longer have to use a tool to prime the rifle, Just drop it into the recess and closed the bolt.

I still have more work to do and plan on making a couple spares with different designs.
