For those of you have CREP or hunt on land that is in CREP, it will be available to renew for another 10 or 15 year period. You will be eligible for increased rental rates and changes to the CREP plan. These changes could include changing from cool season to warm season grasses. Warm season grasses have proven to be more resistant to thistle and other invasive problems. This is straight from FSA even though your local FSA office may not be aware of it. 2010 will be the first year contracts expire in PA and will increase in the next 2 to 4 years.
