i found some fresh coyote tracks so i am going to set some traps but all i have are new 1.5s with strong springs and i have some older number 2s with weaker springs probly equivalant to a 1.5 wich should i use i would just buy some new traps but kinda low on money rite now

Depending on the trap...but both could be tore apart unless they are a heavier trap and/or heavily modified....

Buddy set some of his dads old #2s for coon and sent me a pic of one...it looked like it was smashed with a sledgehammer...yote was gone...

Most 1.5s are coon/fox traps...may or may not hold up to a yote...

Hard to suggest what to do....spring strength is only a small part of the equation....

just get new springs for em if your tight on $. duke #1.75 & #2s are $8 each or alil less
