At one of the farms I trap I have been having yotes come into the pines where my traps are but they are just walking around like they arent even there. I have some bait and lure out. Not sure what to do.

well im not exactly sure what you would call them. I have them under pine trees where it doesnt seem to freeze up as much. I put a hole in the tree and put the lure in there. The trap is about 8-10 inches away from tree. I also smeared a little pork fat in another hole. Trap is about dead center of the pine needle circle and the lure/pork are about 18 inches up trunk. I have similar sets to this in the area.

my guess would be there is too much stuff at your set....limbs,big tree,etc..and they arent hungry enough....

Is there a woods road through this pine patch?
Does it boarder a field?
What are the coyotes traveling on? Random - deer trail - woods road.
This set of yours is it right on coyote tracks?

You have too much going on there.

Get the set out and away from the tree, they are not gonna stick their nose in there. They may sniff or glance at it from where you are standing but I doubt they are going to do much more than that.

You can be under the hemlocks and not be so tight against a tree trunk with your sets.
