With all of the expensive scents on the market I've had my best success with pheasant scent on my boots that I used to use when I had Brittanies and Springer spaniels. This was in ares where a deer had never even seen a pheasant, once while sitting in the brush I had a doe trail me right where I was sitting and stuck her nose againt my gun muzzle while looking me in the eyes, no fear what so ever. they are just naturally curious and if it's a smell they don't associate with humans they will check it out. One guy around here uses strong after shave on his boots and he swears it works...John

If you didn,t tell me I wouldn,t believe the aftershave. With so much perfumey smellin additives I think it would make them not come within miles around.(I know their are lots of a/shaves that burn my nose.) But like I said I believe you.
