Spent a beautiful day at Coopers Rock S.F. in W.V. today.
the views and rock formations are breathtaking!! We also hiked the Furnace Trail to find an old iron furnace used in the 1830's to 1847. Pretty neat pc. of history!!

On a side note, they have instituted an AR program inside the park. Any buck taken must be 14" wide to be legal. I'll bet that would make for some tough field judging. I think its been in effect for a few years now, and judging by some pics I've seen of bucks taken there it is working!!

Coopers Rock is a great place to take the family. I have many great memories as a child there. Great Pics.

Actually, antler restrictions under 16 inches are easy to determine. The distance between a deers ears (from tip to tip when cupped forward) is roughly 16 inches. So you would have have to get a forward or rear profile of the deers head, but as long as the antlers are between the ears...your good to go.
