Put 10 traps out yesterday for coons on a new farm I just got permission to trap. Checked this morning and nothing, I am fairly new to trapping, with that being said this farm hasn't been trapped on in 20 years and there is sign on it. Anyone have any clues as to why no catches? Weather maybe?????

Weather will play a big role.

Just because you put ten traps out does'nt mean that you will catch any either. Lot more involed in cathing, than that..

I realize that there is more involved, I have been catching coons elsewhere but things are slowing down. As stated before i am new at this, I just wanted to know if there was something I was unawhere of.

later in the season it will slow down alot and keep the traps in ive had spots inactive for weeks then bang im catching to many coons for me to handle skinning/fleshing
