Never had them before. Found a big patch and would like to see what all the fuss is about. After I pick some do I just use the root? Or the tops too? What simple recipes do you guys have to share that would go good with a family dinner?

My wife uses them in all sorts of dishes.
I would say to just use them in any way you would an onion or garlic .
She uses the entire plant .
Lots of folks make dips, and potato leek soup.
