Found this Hericium coralloides today. Not to keen on it but it wasn't to bad.

one of the best eating mushrooms there is. that's a fairly good looking log too. it'll keep growing there for a while. I harvested one every year till the log disintegrated. my buddy has one up erie that comes in the spring, most I've
found are in the fall. Good find.

Hmm Like I said. My mushroom tasting experience is limited but so far I've had coral, chicken of the woods, sheepshead, chanterelles. By far the sheepshead takes the win. But they are all good.

Find morels this spring, your going to be amazed

I found one morel this year and it was old so I left it. It was pretty dry then. Hopefully next year will be better.
