Hi all, I just joined HuntingPA on Nov. 1st. was fortunate to draw a unit 87 Buck Antelope tag in Colorado this year. Opening day was Oct 5th. We got permission to hunt on several large ranches. Our scouting efforts really paid off. I love to Antelope hunt.
The amount of goats we saw was amazing. I did 3 unsuccessful stalks myself on opening day, and could't close the deal. Later on opening day i spotted a group of doe bedded. The rut was on, and I knew there would be a decent buck close by watching his doe. I stocked to within about 120Yds and a very decent buck was just below the rise. With one shot from my Thompson Center Compass in 6.5 Creedmoor down he went at the shot. I harvested a very nice 15" ivory tipped buck. I was hunting with two other friends on this hunt, and we went 3 for 3. It was great weekend. https://www.huntingpa.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=141957&stc=1&d=1573613619https://www.huntingpa.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=141959&stc=1&d=1573613619
