I remember when I used to race motorcycles in moto-x and endurance decades ago that every week guys used to bring their bikes back the following week clean as a whistle. Now I don,t mean hosed off with a pressure washer(which nobody had in those days)but I mean showroom clean. No brown residue from mud or anything.I never mingled with the competition in those days but heard they sprayed their bikes down with WD-40 when it was spotless like new then after race day hosed it off and the WD-40 kept the frame, wheels, swingarm, etc spotless as the muck wouldn,t adhere to the product.Have any of you all tried this now or back in the day and if not do you all have any other suggestions.I want to keep my new Gator lookin clean underneath as clean as the top side.

I do know Pledge furniture polish is great on plastic , goggles and windshields . Suzuki Wash is great for getting off the brown mud residue .

We use ALCO dirt bike and ATV wash.

Then buy the gallon container of WD-40 and put it in a squirt bottle. Pressure wash the bike down, spray the alco on and let sit a few minutes and then pressure wash the alco off. That's what takes all the brown residue off, or black in coal or yellow in sand. Then spray the bike down with WD. Just have to keep it off the seat and handle bars. Make sure you work the brakes a little before riding to get the oil off the rotors.

The above is how we keep all of our race bikes looking like this

After this
