I recently cleaned all my guns and in doing so I removed my 20 ga.turkey choke to inspect it and I discovered a slight burr or slight indent at the inside of the sleeve to the rear of the thread as the unit sets in the barrel. Therefore it is not perfectly round.
I was very surprise because it shot very good groups last Spring and my three hunting shots all harvested gobblers. I cleaned the gun an put it away for the Summer without inspecting the choke. Nothing could have happen to the inside of the choke while store in my safe; therefore it must have been that way when I screwed it in before shooting several test loads 20-30 and hunting?????
Could this be a safety problem or effect the pattern?
