My Browning Stalkers are letting water seep in around the toe after 12years of deer seasons (usually only 1or 2days). My look for a replacement brought me to the danner proghorn in 1200g this image, like my current Stalkers, I think. Maybe they were 1000,but I seem to remember 1200. It's not marked. The danner cost about $250,but the American made Chippewas were $330 max and less. Are the Chippewas good for stand hunting and general?

I had a pair of Chippewa Artic 50s many years ago. They were great boots for stand hunting in cold weather. They were not water proof, but had Sherpa lining and felt inner soles making them very warm and comfortable. I would treat them with snow seal and use a hair dryer to melt it into the leather and stitched seams. They held up really well but I think there are better boots available in today's market.
