I came to realize awhile ago that all the old trucks were great trucks. Ford, chevy, dodge, even Toyota. They were built to be straight forward with good metal, and far less parts prone to fail. U-joints, and all that don't even count.

All my Pickups have been full size, especially when I was farming and later had a landscaping business, now I went to a Chevy Colorado, Crew Cab (4 dr), 4WD, 5 ft body , love it gets 19.4 -20.8 mpg just aroudnd town , easy to park , easy to maneuver, don't need a full size anymore, this is the ticket for me.......

Ron, I really like the Colorado, my hunting buddy got one with the 5.3 V-8, locking rear, 4WD, etc. The truck is awesome! I was looking into one, but my 99 S-10 just won't quit. It's got 230,000 miles, doesn't use any oil, and runs fine, so it's hard to get rid of!

Runs deep in my house, REAL deep...can't say i love all of the GM business choices, but I LOVE their trucks.

I would have a real hard time driving anything else... i really would. My 2003 was going to be THE truck i handed down to my boy (now 15)...but some sleeping driver in northern Ontario took care of that.

I thought 2011 was the start of the V8, but I cant debate you on that....
It was 2009 for sure, 300Hp ,320Trg, 0-60 in 6.5, 1/4 mile time of 15.1 and 21 MPG on the highway! This is with a completely stock very detuned motor. With just a computer tune these LS engines turn into beasts!

Boy can I relate to that! My very first car was a SS454 Chevelle, imagine letting a 17 year old boy have something like that. Anyway it's been Chevy's ever since. Just wouldn't feel right going to hunting camp in anything else. Most of my Chevy trucks have gone over 250,000, some 300,000.

Oh yes....we have to see pictures of that baby! That was a very cool option, and your right very rare. Hopefully you didn't mod it too much. That's a neat ride!

Great looking truck! Driving my last Chevy now. Ford from here on out!
Yeah, some chevy truck owners have to buy a Ford. My father did, once. I did once too!

It is the only cure; I'm just sorry I did not learn from dad's Ford. Paid $500.00 an dumpped another $2500.00 into it only to get $400.00 on a trade for my present Chevy.

Thanks to cash for clunkers my 2005 still blue books for close to what I paid three years ago...

The truck's stable mate. My son's first car, a 1969 SS Chevelle. We rebuilt the car together, from the ground up. Used a mild small block until he got some driving experience, now...anything goes! lol.
