I caught a rabbit in my trap today, not sure when though, I checked them this morning around 5am before work just shining from a distance, didn't see any eyes then. I went out after work and walked over to it and noticed the trap was set off. I walked over closer and saw this rabbit laying there with fur laying everywhere and 99% of the meat gone. All that was left was the hip bones, the tail and back legs and the head. His front paw was still in the trap. I figured maybe a hawk got it but there were no feathers around then thought coyote or fox. I didn't have my cell phone with me to take a pic but remembered when I got home I had my wifes camera in my coat pocket.

rabbits seem to check out my scent posts. tighten up your pan will help some. a yote or fox would have taken it from the trap. probably a hawk or owl or even crows got to it.
