Havent done much fishing for cat fish this year with work an family events so i still have yet to find a good bank spot on the susky. My fishing buddy has never really fished for catfish so decided that if we get a free weekend we would go catfishing the local lake near me tho isnt the best for catfish only the odd channel no bigger then 12" so i was wonder does anyone know of any good lakes near harrisburg that have good catfishing? channels or flatheads.

Lake Aldred or Lake Clarke...the Safe Harbor dam is at Lake Clarke...good for flats there

Find a deep pool on the Juniata.

kinda was looking for a lake i dont really have a motor for river currents yet and havent had any luck finding bank spots

I've caught nice channels up to the 30" mark fishing Pinchot at night. Chicken livers and especially live or dead alewives.

fishing from a boat or the bank? my boat isnt equipped with lights and really dont see the need to since i am getting a new one in the spring

also i have caught a few channels there before near the dam but havent tried more in the central location of the lake wondering if that would be better?

I caught them from my yak and from shore. A lot of them around the swimming area. Mostly when I was fishing for wipers in the spring.
