I just moved to Canonsburg from Michigan, the closest lake to me is Canonsburg Lake and from what Pen Game and Fish says its good for carp..Where im from we shoot them w/ our bows, is this legal here in PA?
you would think Kevin, and that is the answer I have gotten off of PFBC WCO's.
But PGC WCO"S who I have asked have been split on their answers. Curious as to what John thinks.
Much of Canonsburg Lake is within safety zones. It is loaded with carp.
I've shot a bunch of carp in Canonsburg Lake. Go behind Waterdam Plaza in the early summer and they'll be stacked on top of each other in the shallows.
Safety zones would not apply because you would be fishing and under the constraints of a fishing license, not hunting, under a hunting license. The activity is called "bow fishing" not carp hunting.
