I moved to the Canonsburg / North Strabane area within the last year and I'm looking for a club to join. I'm interested in either Dormont - Mt. Lebanon or Canonsburg Sportmens clubs.

Any members out there (that would be willing to sponsor me)? Any preference towards one or the other?

I'm interested in trap, rifle, archery, and pistol.

My buddy just moved out of Canonsburg last year. We called his house the deer factory, due to all the deer in his back yard all the time. He lived on Blue Jay.

Fromw hat I hear, I would go with the Dormont-Mt Lebanon club. I, however, belong to Library and like there club a lot. People claim it has the best trap field in the area. Go check them all out.

My father-in-law and brother-in-law have been members of Dormont-Mt. Lebanon for many years. They are fed up with the club though and are now looking into joining Library Sportsman.

Besides, if you're mainly interested in clay shooting, if I remember correctly, Dormont-Mt. Lebo only has 1 trap house. It is more of a rifle shooting club. Library is the way to go for clay shooting.

thanks for the info - appreciate it. i'll be looking into library and canonsburg to check them out.

stevenstiegel - i haven't found any duck / geese spots yet. i've done quite a bit of driving around this fall looking for some spots but haven't seen much yet (started kind of late this year). i'm more used to hunting up in Erie out of the blinds - so I haven't hunted fields / small ponds as much.

i'd be glad to meet up with someone if anybody is trying to get out this fall / winter. i have a few dozen duck decoys and about 2 dozen goose shells.
