With the wet ground and the snow and wind forecast if you have some one that can check your camp it would be a good idea.

Lots down in the Warren county area. Even one at Wilyspike camp!

Not on the camp fell accross the road and hit neighbors trailer for his toys.

With winds supposed to hit 50 mph and higher in parts of the state today that is some very good advice.

I'm leaving in about an hour to check things out at camp. Chainsaws and tools in the truck. Along with other important essential's, book, beer, bacon, beef, and babe. Mrs. Buckskin is riding shotgun this weekend.

Will guarantee ya if there are dead or dying ash trees around your camp, these winds will bring 'em down. If not this time, sooner or later? We dropped hundreds of dead ash trees on our sportsmen's club property last fall. Mostly those that "threatened" the roads, buildings, our five field archery courses and parking lots.

As of a few weeks ago, there are still lots of them coming down in the woods.

Ash borers finally made their way to my corner of Tioga Co. in the past two years.

Only two large ash trees that still had some leaves this past summer, both have ladder stands on them. Time to take them down this spring, if the wind hasn't already toppled them?

dad had some trees close to the cabin taken down several years ago , now he don't have to worry about a tree hitting the cabin or shed. what he took down made a nice size pile of wood to burn. ended up giving the neighboring camp two small trailer loads to help hi out . we are going to get rid of some of our ash and some other trees hopefully this spring or summer. Denny F we aren't to far from you we're near Mills and the ash bores aren't there yet

power out in areas still if you have warren coop power.
Yup, power came on about 3pm Sat. I'm told it went down at 2am Friday morning. That happens now and then up there so I have lanterns, and we cook on a woodstove anyway and I have an icebox instead of a fridge so its not bad for me. No trees down on any camps I past but we did see some big limbs down. The deer sure were on the move. I quit counting at 16 on Friday.

Downed trees - Mother Nature's way of feeding the deer this late in the winter. Plenty of browse available for them. :)
