My family hunted in the Quehanna wild-area Monday and we didn't hear many shots at all. In fact I didn't count 50 shots in the 6 hours we hunted. I was very disappointed, I have been checking camera's every 3 weeks since April and have thousands of pictures of deer and dozens of pictures of bucks. Plus we pushed out 5 rack bucks on one drive last week in bear season 1/2 mile from where we hunted. To top that off when we left today there was one buck hanging from downtown Sinnamahoning through Wykauff run road.
My friend Greg called today, said he has been cruising the backroads and didn't see a single buck or a successful hunter.. Most everyone was scared off by the chance for precipitation today and is banking on shooting does on Saturday..
We killed 1 in archery and 4 of 6 so far during rifle in the Quehanna. Rifle sounded like a war zone in the area I was at.
