any body know where BUTCH & SUNDANCE blew up the train car and scattered money all over--might be a good place to metal detect

Can't help you out on that bur a couple years ago we were elk hunting in Colorado and went into Telluride for an afternoon and they have the bank vault door there from the bank that was robbed by Butch and Sundance, pretty cool!

Wouldn't it have been all paper by that time ? 1890's, early 1900's ? I thought they pretty much concentrated on payroll money. Paper notes and such ?

My Maternal Grandpa was born in 1893, my Paternal Grandpa in 1899. They both went to work as kids in a mine with their Pap's, and I don't think they were paid in cash OR coin.

Iheard miners didn't get paid--just credit in the company -store--never got ahead just deeper in debt--
