After a hard down pour last night saw these bugs/worms popping up out of and around a bare spot in my yard. Looked like popcorn popping.They are very small,about the size of a grain of rice. I had moved a bird feeder from this location about a month ago and don't know if they are why there is still a bare spot there or not. Never saw them until last night. Any idea what they are.

I'd say maggots also. I've seen them already in rotting feed.

That could be. I never saw them jump like that before.
