I didn't make it out on opening day or on Monday. Tuesday I woke up called my buddy and we went to camp. Once at camp I shot my bow a bit got ready and was in the stand by 3:30 PM. The woods seemed dead, nothing was moving. It was about 6:30 PM when I noticed some movement in the brush. I stood up and watched a buck walk right down the trail I set my stand up on. Before I knew it the deer was in my shooting lane and I let the arrow fly. The arrow hit its mark and the deer ran about forty yards and it was all over. I went straight to the butcher after a few pictures. The next day and for the rest of the week I was out in a tree filming for my uncle and friend. Sorry to say no other deer were taken this week at my camp. Here is a pic of the buck and a pic from a trail cam a few weeks earlier. Enjoy and good luck to all of you....................The trail cam was set up about 700 yards from where I shot this buck.
