Musket coming Fed-Ex. Plans: Accurately check groove diameter, select/size Minnie Ball .001 - .003 under groove diameter, grease with bore butter. Now any comments from "Master Musket Shooters" ?

Musket barrel checked with Hard Gage: Accepts .581 Diameter 100%. .582 Goes only .75.
Ordered 25 .580 Diameter Minne balls, and a Stainless Musket cap for #11 Caps.
They did not have Stainless at Bull Run, but they would have used them if they were available !!

Checked Barrel 100% with scope, found rough spots. Poured Lead Lap. Lapped with fine compound, looks good now.
