I have this little Stevens Favorite 22. It is a Joshua Stevens commemmorative. It has the brass lever and hammer. I was thinking it would be kinda cool to put one of those old time looking brass scopes on it that is about the same length as the barrel. Anybody know if someone makes these and the mounts affordably? Don't want to spend a ton of money. Here's a pic of the rifle:

Thanks for any help, Don

Geesh. I had one of those. Someone decided they wanted it more than I did and took it.

Original style 4x scopes were made in Italy years ago and were set up with a mount that fit a dove tail. I don't think they are made any more. I see long slender black metal tube scopes with the outside adjustments for sale here and there. Bought one a few years ago at a yard sale for 10 bucks and sold it a few weeks later for $150 (Winchester Model 5 as I recall)
