Anyone ever put 1 of these on your rifle? The stock on my .243 has seen better days and I am looking to replace it this year. Really like the looks of the laminated ones they have on their web site. They say drop in just curious if thats true or will I have to have a gunsmith fit it.

I put a laminated Boyd's stock on my Remington 700 Classic. As i remember, it's pretty much a drop-in. Rifle shot well after the change.

We've had mixed results with Boyd's stocks. Some drop in easily and other needed a fair amount of in-letting. Probably depends if it was made on a Monday or a Friday.

Thanks guys think I am going to order mine. Going to get the checkering as well just dont like stocks without it on. Then after that time for a new scope. Old Redfield is giving me trouble fogging a little its the olf style wideview and over 30 years old . Refurbishing the old rifle give it a new life so to speak.

I put one on my Savage 12FV in 22-250. It took me quite abit of work to get it to fit. Certainly didn't "drop in".
