Now it's to my understanding that you can shoot furbearers with bows right? I'm not seeing anything in the book that says anything about it though, as all it talks about is what cal of guns to use and what shotsize

So you're saying that someone can shoot a fox or raccoon, or what ever is in their trap in early febuary with a bow and have it legal? what the ??
